2nd Sunday Shoes for Souls

Over the past several years, Matt Danaher has been participating in short term mission trips to Honduras with Unending Grace Outreach Ministries (UGOM).   In a recent report, Matt shared with our congregation a special need.  As a part of the dress code in the Honduran school system, students must have a school uniform and black shoes in order to attend.  UGOM does its best to provide uniforms for the kids who are unable to afford.  However, they struggle to supply adequate shoes for these children.  Their desire is to put shoes on the feet of each student within their ministry area in Honduras.  For only $22 you can provide a child with the gift of a new pair of shoes and complete their scholarship to school.  Not only will it make the child extremely happy, appreciative, and allow them to attend school, but it will also improve their health.

Our goal at Grace Fellowship Church is to provide a total of 239 pairs of shoes for the children in the four villages of Los Ranchos de San Juan, El Rodeo, La Rinconada and La Palma.   For the next five months, we have designated the second Sunday of every month as “Second Sunday Shoes for Souls.”   If you would like to support this important project simply place your gift in the shoebox located at the information desk.  If you are writing a check, please make your check payable to Grace Fellowship Church and write “Shoe project” in the memo.

Thank  you for prayerfully considering the part that God would have you play in this special project!
